Wilson Introduces Petition to Re-Open Blue Mountains Shale Beach

(June 20, 2013) Simcoe-Grey MPP Jim Wilson launched a petition today calling upon Kathleen Wynne and the Minister of Transportation to re-instate public access to Shale Beach off Highway 26 in the town of Blue Mountains.

The petition urges the Wynne government to immediately restore access to Shale Beach so that residents and visitors, who have been frequenting the beach for generations, can continue to enjoy the area and all it has to offer.

Wilson is encouraging constituents to visit his website at www.jimwilsonmpp.com and print off hard copies of the petition to circulate amongst friends and neighbors. The petition will help Wilson show the McGuinty-Wynne Liberal government that the community will not stand by as they revoke public access to the beach and implement yet another new fee.

Since original signatures are required, completed petitions can be dropped off or mailed to the following locations: Wilson’s Collingwood office at 50 Hume Street or Wilson’s Alliston office at 180 Parsons Road. Wilson’s office can be reached by calling 1 (800) 268-7542.
