(VIDEO) Tec-We-Gwill Celebrates 75 years

(March 30, 2022) The Tec-We-Gwill Women’s Institute is celebrating 75 years of service.  Established in 1947, the Bradford-based branch of the Federated Women's Institute of Ontario provides social and educational resources for local women while participating in fundraising and charitable events in the community.

Over the years, members have contributed hours of volunteer time to improve the lives of South Simcoe County families, children and seniors, as well as led campaigns to raise funds for causes like the South Simcoe 4H, Simcoe Manor and the fight against breast cancer.

Tec-We-Gwill is one of 220 branches of the Federated Women's Institutes of Ontario.  The provincial organization is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year.

“Congratulations to the FWIO and Tec-We-Gwill on their many achievements and the excellent work they do,” said Simcoe-Grey MPP Jim Wilson.  You can watch his statement in the Legislature here.
