MPP Wilson congratulates Collingwood on ‘Most Entrepreneurial’ designation
(November 4, 2016) A Canadian Federation of Independent Business report that includes a list of the Top 10 Most Entrepreneurial communities in the country puts Collingwood in the lead, an honour that Simcoe-Grey MPP Jim Wilson shared with parliamentary colleagues at Queen's Park yesterday.
"Mr. Speaker, Collingwood is well-known for its many entrepreneurial businesses. As the MPP for Simcoe-Grey, I want to thank everyone involved with the local business community for their hard work. The community is truly deserving of this recognition from CFIB," Wilson said during a Member's Statement in the legislature.
The CFIB's Top 10 list is part of its 2016 Entrepreneurial Communities report. According to the federation, the report takes a close look at how 121 communities support and promote entrepreneurship.
"It's a great tool for communities and business owners to gauge what's working and what's not when it comes to laying the groundwork for entrepreneurial growth," CFIB chief economist Ted Mallett said.
