Stop your power bill from skyrocketing

(May 24, 2016) Simcoe-Grey MPP Jim Wilson is encouraging constituents to sign his petition calling on the Liberal government to reconsider its plan to ban natural gas heat from Ontario buildings and new construction projects.

"Making the switch from natural gas heat to electric heat will cost an average of $3,000 more each year," Wilson said. "On top of this, homeowners will be faced with $4,500 in renovation costs. At a time when people in Ontario are already suffering from sky-high hydro bills, I would encourage you to sign the petition, which asks Premier Wynne to drop her shortsighted plan to ban natural gas in Ontario."

Copies of the petition can be printed from Wilson's website by visiting Click on the "Petition" link on the right side of the main page and then select the petition.

Constituents can also obtain copies from the Alliston constituency office at 180 Parsons Road, Unit 28, and the Collingwood constituency office at 50 Hume Street, or by calling 1-800-268-7542.
